Someone will die for this....

I was  going to blah about the stupid election until about 2 hours ago... you see, some fuckwit has hit my car.  This was done whilst I was about 3kmaway - too far to hear the alarm.  I have an idea where the culprit lives.  About $800-1200 wourth of p&p damage has been done (2 panels damaged), though the car is fine.  Tonight, I'm gonna walk up the R.O.W. across the road with a hammer - If I see a navy car with bits of silver paint on it - i'm gonna smash in the headlights, tail lights and the owners head.

Teach them not to leave a fucking note..

Ah the election... managing a brand new polling booth about 200m from another one, but hidden well away where few locals knew about it.  I had dramas before-hand; namely some stupid bitch who didn't want to start 'till 12 as she wanted to go out, she got replaced - but kept her election material with her.  Not my problem.  We had 7 staff and 418 voters for the whole day.  When there were no people, me and another guy were playing basketball in the school gym where we were.  I got a LOT of practice in.  We were so empty that I sent home my 2IC as she had 2 sick kids and it still wasnt an issue.

Funny Thing #1:  Certain nameless warriors player comes in.  Doesn't know what role he's on... after a quick check, we find he's on the Maori roll (1 of our 3 Maori votes)  Comes back after 5 minutes in the polling booth saying he doesnt want to vote for any candidate - "what should he do?"  I now know who he voted for and where he lives... Its strange though, he's down on the roll as a "sportsman", but i thought "bench-warmer" was more accurate...   Saying that, I'm still on the roll as a student.

Funny Thing #2:  We had a game when we weren't busy (most of teh time).  The electoral roll has your name, address & occupation.  None of us could find any "strippers" or "exotic dancers"... gutted.  On a brighter note - it seems an ex of mine has mooved out of the electorate.

Funny Thing #3: We had 2 destiny party scrutineers throughout the day (scrutineers don't get paid for this)  We had no destiny candidate votes and only 1 party vote.  That was good...

Electoral Fraud #??? (I lost count).  It seemed with the first 20 or so special votes, we forgot to put the electorate name on the front of teh envelope.  Oh shit.  After consultation with HQ, we decided at the end, we'd open up the declaration side of teh envelope & get the electorate name from that... this seemed fine, the SV guys had had to witness it anyway.  Then Denstiny Party Scrutineer #2 trotts in.  Unlike #1 who was the geek who liked to please everone type (no backbone), #2 represented the other faction, the non-speaking, cromagnum-man looking thug.  I had to keep said thug busy with the Ordinary Votes etc whilst the SV boyts fixed the fuckup.  Luckily he seemed as dumb as he looked so we got away scott-free.

We were the 1st ones in the electorate to phone it, backed up all the stuff into a few boxes and all fucked off.  I dumped teh shite back at HQ and was home by just after 830... Fuck doing it again though.

I realise now that I would have come in at a net loss for the weekend..,. if i get the damage fixed.  Im gonna leave it for a few months, but clean it up myself.
